OpenStage Mechanics
The NeuroGig OpenStage Mechanics is based on the 2014 PLoS ONE paper by Rob Campbell et al., wherein they published their design and evaluated the performance of the “OpenStage” - a stepper-motor driven motorised microscope stage, specifically for a two-photon microscope.
This design includes the complete microscope stage. As in the image above, the NeuroGig modular approach separates the OpenStage into two separate assemblies, with the OpenStage Control System indicated in blue and the OpenStage Mechanics in green.
The OpenStage Mechanics include the following, but are designed around your requirements:
- Stage tier-plates,
- Manual translation stages (X,Y and Z),
- Mounting pillars
- Breadboards/plates for positioning the sample/animal
- Interface brackets and plates necessary to integrate all components
