MICROSCOPE TRANSLATION STAGE OPTIONS FOR COMBINING ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY AND IMAGING EXPERIMENTS

OpenBase Stages and Platforms

The OpenBase range of stages and platforms offer various options to neurophysiologists who require exact and versatile solutions to positioning their sample, recording micromanipulators and microscope.

Options:

The OpenBase Manual Translation stage is a cost-effective solution for physiologists who require a stable platform with smooth micrometers and bearings. The 25mm travel range is adequate for most setups, with sub-micron range resolution.

The translation stage with its super-smooth cross-roller bearings is sandwiched between two interface plates, with the top interface plate drilled and threaded (M6 threads, 25mm spaces between holes).

For users who prefer motorized stages, simply add the OpenStage Control System, which can be ordered along with the stage or added afterwards.

We offer different configurations to suit different experimental requirements. The regular Manual translation stage can be combined with a “Gibraltar”-like OpenBase  Bridge-Platform, or with the OpenBase Tower-Mount (see picture below).

Researchers who need the microscope to be fixed relative to the optical table (e.g. Multiphoton or confocal setups), prefer the OpenBase U-Platform, which enables easy adjustment of the sample stage height for swapping between in vitro and in vivo work.
