Rig Guardian Spill Detector
Perfusion spills don’t blend well with microscope optics and mechanics. The NeuroGig Rig Guardian notifies you when a spill occurs – you can protect your setup against potentially costly damage.
How does it work?
Position one or both of the two included sensors where your setup is most likely to flooding, and connect the sensors to the controller.
When one or both sensors are exposed to solution,
- a buzzer-alarm is triggered,
- along with an LED on the front panel of the controller.
- a custom notification gets sent to a designated phone (via Telegram app – Android/iOS), warning you about the spill.
The buzzer and LED switch off again once the spillage is cleared (the alarm can be deactivated whilst you clear the spill via the “Deactivate Buzzer” switch on the controller).
Sensor types:
When you purchase a Rig Guardian, two sensors are included. Either choose one of each type below, or two of either:
Chamber Aperture Sensor
3-D printed round frame with + and – terminals, to fit around your recording chamber (custom dimensions available)
Open-Terminals Sensor
3-D printed block with open terminals to position anywhere on your rig.
